ORDINANCES ADOPTING AND AMENDING CODES COMPRISING THE 2025 CALIFORNIA\nBUILDING STANDARDS CODE, AND THE 2024 INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE,\nSETTING A PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING ADOPTION, AND ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION MAKING\nFINDINGS IN SUPPORT OF LOCAL AMENDMENTS TO THE 2025 CALIFORNIA BUILDING STANDARDS\nCODE\nPresented by Alex Lester, Senior Building Inspector\n— Recommended Action: 1) Introduce Ordinances adopting by reference and amending the\n2025 Edition of the California Building Standards Code, including the California Building Code,\nCalifornia Fire Code, California Plumbing Code, California Mechanical Code, California Electrical\nCode, California Residential Code, California Green Building Standards Code, California\nHistorical Building Code, California Existing Building Code, California Wildland-Urban Interface\nCode, and California Referenced Standards Code, as adopted by the California Building\nStandards Commission, together with the local amendments outlined in the ordinances, and\nadopting the 2024 International Property Maintenance Code; 2) Set a public hearing and\nsecond reading for December 9, 2025; and, 3) Adopt a Resolution making the necessary\nfindings, as required by state law to support local amendments to the 2025 California Building,\nFire and related codes.
