Item 58:\nExemption of Council Representative Position in Council District 9 from Classified\nService.\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nThe salary allocations will be absorbed by the Council District 9 office budget.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: 9.\nProposed Actions:\nAdopt the following Ordinance which was introduced on 11/4/2025, Item S501, (Council\nvoted 9-0):\n(O-2026-33)\nOrdinance authorizing the exemption of a Council Representative I position assigned to\nthe Council District 9 Office from the Classified Service, based on advisory review and\nfavorable comment by the Civil Service Commission on October 2, 2025. This position\nwill be responsible for supporting priorities, concerns, and opportunities for collaboration\nacross District 9 neighborhoods, in addition to other duties.
