A. Award Bid #SP2575 and Construction Contract to Vellutini Corporation, DBA Royal Electric Company,\nfor the Santa Monica Department of Transportation Charging Infrastructure Project, Phases 2-4\nRecommended Action\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption pursuant to Section 15303 (Class 3 - New\nConstruction of Small Structures) and Section 15311(Class 11 – Accessory Structures) of\nthe California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines;\n2. Award Bid # SP2575 to Vellutini Corporation DBA Royal Electric for the construction,\npurchase, and installation of battery electric bus charging infrastructure and electric\nvehicle supply equipment for the Department of Transportation;\n3. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute a contract with Vellutini Corporation\nDBA Royal Electric Company, in an amount not to exceed $55,907,500 (including a\n$5,082,500 contingency);\n4. Approve the position and dedicate a limited-term Senior Construction Manager for the\nproject as described in the “Funding and Staffing Recommendations” section of this\nreport; and
