Item 59:\nContract Extension with Ace Parking for Balboa Park Tram Services.\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nThis amendment increases the not-to-exceed amount of the original agreement by\n$2,800,000 for an additional two-year period through December 19, 2027, for a total\ncontract amount of $6,128,500. The General Fund and Transient Occupancy Tax Fund\nwill be used as funding sources, though this will be supplemented with another fund that\nwill eventually be created exclusively for Balboa Park improvements, once the parking\nrevenue materializes.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\nAdopt the following Ordinance which was introduced on 11/4/2025, Item S502, (Council\nvoted 9-0):\n(O-2026-41)\nOrdinance authorizing the Mayor, or his designee, to execute a Second Amendment to the\nContract with Ace Parking III, LLC, to allow the City to use the Contract beyond five\nyears, through December 19, 2027, increase the total not-to-exceed amount of the\nContract by $2,800,000 for a new total not-to-exceed amount of $6,128,500, and modify\nthe Contract pursuant to the terms and conditions contained in the Second Amendment to\nthe Contract, for Balboa Park Tram Services.\n6 votes required pursuant to Charter Section 99.\nCommittee Actions Taken: N/A\nParks & Recreation: Jon Richards, (619) 235-5992\nCity Attorney Contact: Nicole Pedone
