4.\nRemoving the Burden of County Permit Fees for Rebuilding After the 2025\nPalisades Fire for Malibu Homeowners\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Horvath: Instruct the Fire Chief, in\ncoordination with the Acting Chief Executive Officer, Auditor-Controller, and\nCounty Counsel, to take the following actions:\nImmediately defer permit fees for homeowners who submit applications\nfor County permits for rebuilding single-family homes within the City of\nMalibu impacted by the 2025 Palisades Fire, for those who meet the\nfollowing criteria:\nProperty was owned by the applicant prior to January 7, 2025.\nProperty was owner-occupied by the applicant prior to January 7,\n2025.\nRefund homeowners who meet the eligibility criteria in the\naforementioned directive who have paid permit fees to the County Fire\nDepartment for eligible rebuilds.
