23. CONSIDER AMENDING THE CONTRACT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH Z&K CONSULTANTS, INC.\nTO DEVELOP A SPECIFIC PLAN FOR THE CARSON CIVIC CENTER TO ADD AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE\nHOTEL IN THE FORM OF AN ENTERTAINMENT, RETAIL AND RESTAURANT DEVELOPMENT (CITY\nCOUNCIL)\nRECOMMENDED ACTION\n— 1. APPROVE Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with Z&K Consultants, Inc. to include an\nalternative to, and update the Carson Civic Center Specific Plan, to increase the total\ncompensation by $54,000.00 increasing the Contract Sum from $550,000.00 to $604,000.00;\nand\n— 2. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Z&K Consultants, Inc.\nagreement, following approval as to form by the City Attorney.
