8. ORDINANCE NOS. CS-499 AND CS-500 – ADOPTING THE 2025 CALIFORNIA FIRE CODE AND THE 2025\nCALIFORNIA WILDLAND-URBAN INTERFACE CODE, ALONG WITH LOCAL AMENDMENTS – 1) Hold a\npublic hearing; and\n2) Adoption of Ordinance No. CS-499, repealing the existing Carlsbad Municipal Code Chapter 17.04\n(Fire Prevention Code) and adopting a new Chapter 17.04 (Fire Prevention Code) based on the 2025\nedition of the California Fire Code; and\n3) Adoption of Ordinance No. CS-500, establishing a new Carlsbad Municipal Code Chapter 17.06\n(Wildland-Urban Interface Code) based on the 2025 edition of the California Wildland-Urban Interface\nCode.
