3. 25-57156\nRecommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City\nManager Department by $3,500, offset by the Fifth Council District One-Time\nDistrict Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to\nprovide contributions to the following organizations:\n• $1,500 to the African American Cultural Center of Long Beach in support of\ntheir annual Kwanzaa Celebration;\n• $1,000 to the New Image Emergency Shelter, in support of their annual\nChildren’s Christmas Store;\n• $750 to Kubo Organizing Project in support of their annual Long Beach\nParol Lantern Festival;\n• $250 to Sister Cities of Long Beach, Inc. in support of their annual\nInternational Cultural Fest; and\nDecrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities\nDepartment by $3,500, to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.\nOffice or Department:\nMegan Kerr, Councilwoman, Fifth District\nSuggested Action:\nApprove recommendation.
