This appointment will ensure uninterrupted payroll operations\nand timely completion of critical year-end CalPERS, IRS, and audit reporting. The action\ncomplies with CalPERS regulations and will have no additional cost to the City.\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt a Resolution titled, "A RESOLUTION OF THE\nCITY COUNCIL, CITY OF LA VERNE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO\nEXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT AND 180-DAY WAIT\nPERIOD EXCEPTION FOR RETIRED ANNUITANT KATHY CORDOVA," pursuant to\nGovernment Code Sections 21221(h), and CalPERS regulations.\nTHE LA VERNE CITY COUNCIL WILL RECESS TO MEET AS THE LA VERNE JOINT PUBLIC\nFINANCING AUTHORITY; FOLLOWING THE CITY COUNCIL WILL IMMEDIATELY RECONVENE.\nLA VERNE PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY
