F.2.\nCONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT WITH SELECT ELECTRIC, INC. TO\nCONSTRUCT CIP 2504, BATTERY\nBACK-UP SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PHASE II PROJECT AND AMENDMENT \nNO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES WITH TRANSTECH ENGINEERS,\nINC. FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND INSPECTION\nSERVICES AND CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION 25-________: “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST\nHOLLYWOOD APPROVING THE DESIGN AND PLANS FOR THE\nCONSTRUCTION OF CIP 2504, BATTERY BACK-UP SYSTEM\nIMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2 PROJECT, PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT\nCODE SECTION 830.6” [H. COLLINS, J. GILMOUR, R. GARLAND]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider approving a Construction\nAgreement with Select Electric, Inc. to construct CIP 2504, Battery Back-\nup System Improvements Phase II Project and Amendment No. 1 to the\nAgreement for Services with Transtech Engineers, Inc. for construction\nmanagement and inspection services to increase the not-to-exceed\namount of the Agreement. The City Council will also consider adopting of\na Resolution approving the project’s design and plans.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a Construction Agreement with\nSelect Electric, Inc. in the amount of $785,725.00 for the construction of\nCIP 2504, Battery Back-up System Improvements Phase II Project, and\nauthorize the City Manager or designee to execute documents incident to\nthe Agreement; 2) Authorize the City Engineer to approve change orders\nto the Construction Agreement in an amount not to exceed 25%\n($196,431.25) of the Agreement amount; 3) Approve Amendment No. 1 to\nthe Agreement for Services with Transtech Engineers, Inc. to increase the\namount of the Agreement by $1,000,000 for a total not-to-exceed amount\nof $1,500,000; 4) Authorize the Director of Finance & Technology Services\nto allocate $122,000 from unallocated reserves in the City Lighting Fund to\naccount number 211-4-08-84-704011 for construction of CIP 2504, Battery\nBack-up System Improvements Phase II Project and related costs; and 5)\nAdopt Resolution No. 25-________: “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY\nCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST HOLLYWOOD APPROVING THE\nDESIGN AND PLANS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CIP 2504,\nBATTERY BACK-UP SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2 PROJECT,\nPURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 830.6.”
