I.15\nAUTHORIZATION TO AWARD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE\nOVERNIGHT INTERSECTION VISIBILITY SYSTEMIC IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT,\nCITYWIDE (REPORT OF: PUBLIC WORKS) (ALL DISTRICTS)\nAuthorization To Award A Highway Safety Improvement Program Construction\nContract to California Professional Engineering, Inc. For The Overnight Intersection\nVisibility Systemic Improvements Project, Citywide, Project Number 808 0038\nRecommendation(s)\nThat the City Council:\n1. Award a Highway Safety Improvement construction contract to California\nProfessional Engineering, Inc. for the citywide Overnight Intersection Visibility\nSystemic Improvements Project Number 808 0038; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with California Professional\nEngineering, Inc. in the amount of $971,635.00 ($844,900.00 bid amount plus\n$126,735.00 contingency), funded by Highway Safety Improvement Program Grant\nFunds (Fund 2301) and State Gas Tax Funds (Fund 2000); and\n3. Authorize the issuance of a Purchase Order to California Professional\nEngineering, Inc in the amount of $971,635.00, when the contract has been signed\nby all parties; and\n4. Authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to execute any subsequent\nchange orders related to the contract with California Professional Engineering, Inc.\nup to the contingency amount, subject to the approval of the City Attorney.
