F.\nTRAFFIC & SAFETY COMMITTEE ACTION ITEMS: 1) SPEED LIMIT SIGN\nRECOMMENDATIONS AND\n2)\nRIGHT-TURN ON RED AT THE\nNORTHWEST CORNER OF PALOS VERDES DRIVE NORTH AND PALOS\nVERDES DRIVE EAST\nMemorandum from Kirsten Graham, Public Works Manager\nRecommendation: That the City Council: 1) Approve the Traffic and Safety\nCommittee’s recommendation to install three speed limit signs along Palos Verdes\nDrive North (PVDN) as reviewed and recommended by the City’s Traffic\nEngineering Deputy; and 2) Approve the Committee’s recommendation to install an\nadditional edge lit speed limit sign in front of City Hall to enhance visibility of the\nnewly adopted speed limit; and 3) Approve the installation of a “No Right Turn on\nRed” sign at the northwest corner of Palos Verdes Drive North and Palos Verdes\nDrive East based on the safety analysis provided by the City’s traffic engineering\nconsultant; and 4) Authorize staff to proceed with procurement and installation of the\nsigns.\nStaff Report\nAttachments:
