17. 25-57196\nRecommendation to adopt the Speed Safety System Use Policy and Speed Safety\nSystem Impact Report for the Automated Speed Enforcement Pilot Program;\nAdopt resolution authorizing City Manager, or designee, to execute a contract, and\nall necessary documents including any subsequent amendments, with American\nTraffic Solutions, Inc. dba Verra Mobility of Mesa, AZ, for the design, installation,\nmaintenance, and data processing of the Automated Speed Enforcement Systems,\nunder the same terms and conditions afforded to the City of Oakland in the\namount of $4,860,000, with a 15-percent contingency in the amount of $729,000,\nfor a total contract amount not to exceed $5,589,000, until the City of Oakland’s\ncontract expires on October 1, 2031, with the option to renew for as long as the\nCity of Oakland’s contract is in effect and for so long as automated speed\nenforcement technology is authorized by the State Legislature, at the discretion of\nthe City Manager; and\nIncrease appropriations in the Capital Projects Fund Group in the Public Works\nDepartment by $5,589,000, offset by anticipated revenues from the Automated\nSpeed Enforcement Pilot Program.
