23. CONSIDER (1) ADOPTING RESOLUTION NO. 25-116 AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2025/26\nBUDGET AND (2) APPROVING A PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACT WITH DAVE BANG ASSOCIATES, INC., TO\nPURCHASE AND INSTALL OUTDOOR FITNESS EQUIPMENT AT ANDERSON PARK, CALAS PARK,\nDOLPHIN PARK, DOMINGUEZ PARK, AND HEMINGWAY PARK, UTILIZING FUNDS PROVIDED BY A LOS\nANGELES COUNTY PROPOSITION A MAINTENANCE & SERVICING ALLOCATIONS GRANT (CITY\nCOUNCIL)\nRECOMMENDED ACTION\n— 1. WAIVE further reading and ADOPT Resolution No. 25-116, entitled “A RESOLUTION OF THE\nCITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-26\nBUDGET IN THE GENERAL FUND AND SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS”;\n— 2. APPROVE the proposed Public Works Agreement between the City of Carson and Dave\nBang Associates, Inc. to replace outdoor fitness equipment at Anderson Park, Calas Park,\nDolphin Park, Dominguez Park, and Hemingway Park, for a total not-to-exceed amount of\n$101,892.59 (Exhibit No. 2; “Agreement”);\n— 3. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute the Agreement, subject to approval as to form by the\nCity Attorney; and,\n— 4. AUTHORIZE the City Manager or designee to submit and execute all documents necessary\nto secure reimbursement from the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District\n(RPOSD) using Proposition A Maintenance and Servicing grant funds.
