17.\nAPPROVE CHANGE ORDER: MAIN STREET AND FOURTH STREET SEWER MAIN\nREPLACEMENT PROJECT - PHASE 2 – F2M22-53, C2M25-25, M2M26-10\nOn June 23, 2025, the City Council awarded a contract to Ramona Inc. for the Main Street\nand Fourth Street Sewer Main Replacement Project - Phase 2 in an amount not to exceed\n$2,941,665.50. The Project was originally proposed to provide slurry seal pavement on\nMain Street from Fourth Street to Atlantic Boulevard. During the sewer construction, staff\nand the contractor identified that the sub-surface of the street is deteriorated which was\nnot evident during the design phase. The additional work will provide structural strength,\nensures the roadway can withstand traffic loads, removes the deteriorated top layer and\nany uneven patches from the sewer repairs. As part of this Change Order, damaged curb\nand gutter and traffic loops will also be replaced.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council approve Change Order No. 1 for the Main\nStreet and Fourth Street Sewer Main Replacement Project – Phase 2, increasing Contract\nNo. C2M25-25 with Ramona Inc. by $190,914.66 and bringing the total revised contract\nvalue to an amount not to exceed $3,132,580.16; appropriate funds from the Measure R\nfund in the amount of $190,914.66 to complete the project; and, direct staff to undertake\nthe steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
