RESOLUTION NO. - First Amendment to Reimbursement Agreement DA-5510 with American Airlines, Inc.: To increase the amount by $4,682,396 and extend the term through June 29, 2027, covering design and construction services to support the Los Angeles World Airports Cellular Distributed Antenna System initiative at Los Angeles International Airport; and appropriation of said amount \nPURPOSE: To facilitate installation of the Distributed Antenna System (DAS) in the Terminal 4.5 Vertical Circulation Core, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) staff entered into Reimbursement Agreement DA-5510 with American Airlines, Inc. (American) to design and install DAS infrastructure, concurrently with construction of the Terminal 4.5 Vertical Circulation Core, on behalf of the cellular service providers. The current action is to increase the agreement's amount by $4,682,396 for additional supporting infrastructure throughout the new concourse and headhouse of Terminal 4 Modernization Program, based on the scope provided by the cellular service providers. The action also extends the term by three (3) years to June 29, 2027, to coincide with the schedule of the Terminal 4 Modernization Program. The cellular service providers will reimburse LAWA for the additional costs per the Master Cost Reimbursement Agreement. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.i of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; approve the First Amendment to Reimbursable Agreement DA-5510 with American Airlines, Inc.; further approve appropriation of $4,682,396; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute said First Amendment after approval as to form by the City Attorney and approval by the Los Angeles City Council.
