Board of Airport Commissioners
Agenda Item 11
RESOLUTION NO. - Award of three (3)-year Contract to Waters Environmental Services and Technologies Corporation dba Westcorp: Covering duct cleaning and repair services for Los Angeles World Airports, for cost not to exceed $2,850,000 \nPURPOSE: The proposed award will establish a three (3)-year contract for duct cleaning and repair services for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) for amount not to exceed $2,850,000. The action will allow LAWA to maintain continuous contractual coverage for the services and obtain licensed technical staff to assist with duct cleaning services over the next three (3) years. Approving the contract will allow LAWA to continue providing a healthy environment for passengers and visitors. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article III, Class 1 (2) of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; find that the work can be performed more economically or feasibly by an independent contractor than by City employees; further find that although the Waters Environmental Services and Technologies Corporation dba Westcorp original bid did not contain a fully completed Contractor Responsibility form, a fully completed Contractor Responsibility form was subsequently submitted upon request of Los Angeles World Airports Strategic Sourcing Division and that, under the circumstances, it is in Los Angeles World Airports' interest to allow the bidder to submit the revised form with its bid; approve Award of Contract to Waters Environmental Services and Technologies Corporation dba Westcorp; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute said Contract after approval as to form by the City Attorney.
