E.1.\nUPDATE ON PLANS FOR THE 2026 WORLD CUP AND 2028 GAMES\n[J. ROCCO, A. LOVANO, L. BIERY, R. EHEMANN, Y. QUARKER, C.\nSMITH, M. REATH]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will receive an update on the City’s plans for\nthe 2026 World Cup and 2028 Olympic Games.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Receive an update on the City of West\nHollywood’s plans for the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Olympic Games, and\nprovide additional direction or feedback as necessary; 2) Authorize the\nCity Manager or designee to negotiate and execute all documents incident\nto an Agreement for Services with The Very Creative Firm in an amount\nnot to exceed $250,000 for event production services for the World Cup\nFan Zone activations; 3) Authorize the City Manager or designee to\nnegotiate and execute all documents incident to an Agreement for\nServices with The Blanket in an amount not to exceed $275,000 for event\nproduction services for the presentation of the Discofoot© performance art\nprogram in the World Cup Fan Zone activation; and 4) Approve the waiver\nof Facility Use Fees, Special Event Permit Fees, Parking Meter Fees,\nBuilding & Safety Permit Fees, and Encroachment Permit Fees associated\nwith the production of the World Cup Fan Zones.
