7.f.\nCONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 26-004,\nACCEPTING THE MERCED AVENUE GREENWAY PROJECT AS\nCOMPLETE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE THE\nNOTICE OF COMPLETION WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY\nRECORDER.\nOn April 3, 2023, the Engineering Department solicited bids for the Merced\nAvenue Greenway Project. The work involved furnishing all labor, material,\nequipment, services, and incidentals required for the roadway re-surfacing,\nreconstruction of concrete curb ramps, sidewalks, curbs & gutters, striping,\nlandscaping & incorporation of new traffic lanes, bike lanes and pedestrian\ncrossings along Merced Avenue from Rush St to Lerma Rd. On July 25,\n2023, Gentry Brothers, Inc. (“Contractor”) was awarded a construction\ncontract for the Merced Avenue Greenway Project. The final cost for the\nconstruction work completed by Gentry Brothers, Inc. is $9,070,462.01.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 26-004, accepting the completion of the Merced\nAvenue Greenway Project;\n2. Authorize City Clerk to send the Notice of Completion for recordation to\nthe Los Angeles County Recorder’s Office; and\n3. Release retention accordingly.
