RESOLUTION NO.      - Funding Authority of $700:  For one member of the Los Angeles International Airport Area Advisory Committee and one member of the Van Nuys Airport Citizens Advisory Council to attend the virtual University of California Davis 36th Annual Aviation Noise Emissions Symposium, from May 1, 2023 thru May 3, 2023 \nPURPOSE: The action will approve the related costs for one (1) member from the Los Angeles International Airport Area Advisory Committee and one (1) member from the Van Nuys Airport Citizens Advisory Council to attend the virtual University of California Davis 36th Annual Aviation Noise and Emissions Symposium. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; find that the work can be performed more economically or feasibly by an independent contractor than by City employees; approve funding of $700 for one (1) representative each of the Los Angeles International Airport Area Advisory Committee and the Van Nuys Airport Citizens Advisory Council to attend the University of California Davis 36th Annual Aviation Noise and Emissions Symposium; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to pay the related expenses.
