6.2\nConsideration of Adoption of Ordinance No. 962, Amending\nCertain Sections of Title 6 (Buildings and Construction) of the\nBell Gardens Municipal Code to Adopt by Reference Los\nAngeles County Code Titles 26 through 31, Which Adopt by\nReference and Amend the 2025 California Building Standards\nCode, and Adopting by Reference the 2024 International\nProperty Maintenance Code as Published by the International\nCode Council\nRECOMMENDATION: It is staff’s recommendation that the City\nCouncil conduct a public hearing, receive testimony, conduct the\nsecond reading and adopt Ordinance No. 962, amending certain\nsections of Title 6 (Buildings and Construction) of the Bell Gardens\nMunicipal Code, to adopt by reference Los Angeles County Code Title\n26 (Building Code), Title 27 (Electrical Code), Title 28 (Plumbing\nCode), Title 29 (Mechanical Code), Title 30 (Residential Code), and\nTitle 31 (Green Building Standards Code), which amend and adopt by\nreference the 2025 California Building Standards Code, and adopt by\nreference the 2024 International Property Maintenance Code as\npublished by the International Code Council.\nATTACHMENTS:\nExhibit 1 - Ordinance No. 962\nExhibit 2 - Public Hearing Notices - January 15 and 22, 2026
