11.\nCITY COUNCIL CONSIDERATION OF POLICE SERVICE OFFICER OVER-\nHIRE\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the\nCity Manager to over-hire two Police Service Officers for the next twelve\nmonths, temporarily bringing the total number of authorized Police\nService Officer positions to nine. Unless further council action is taken,\nafter 12 months, when natural attrition occurs within the classification,\nthe staffing level will return to the approved allocation of seven Police\nService Officers.\nStaff Report
