4.E.\nApproval of First Modification to Agreement with Cotton, Shires & Associates\nfor Geotechnical Engineering Services\n\nRecommended Action\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Adopt a finding of no possibility of signification effect pursuant to Section\n15061(b)(3) (Common Sense Exemption) of the California Environmental\nQuality Act (CEQA) Guidelines; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute a first modification to\nagreement #11275 (CCS) in the amount of $180,000 with Cotton, Shires and\nAssociates, Inc. for geotechnical engineering services for the Community\nDevelopment Department. This will result in a five-year amended agreement\nwith a new total amount not to exceed $405,000, with future year funding\ncontingent on Council budget approval.
