(12)\n24-0412-S2\nCATEGORICAL EXEMPTION and TRADE, TRAVEL AND TOURISM\nCOMMITTEE REPORT relative to BOAC Resolution No. 28290 and\nconsideration of termination and partial termination of Concession\nAgreements and convenience termination payments for the\nconcession units in Terminal 5 at Los Angeles International Airport\n(LAX).\nRecommendations for Council action:\n1. CONCUR with the determination by the Board of Airport\nCommissioners (BOAC) that this action is categorically exempt\nfrom the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant\nto Article III, Class 1(18)(c) of the Los Angeles City CEQA\nGuidelines.\n2. APPROVE the Termination and Partial Termination of\nConcession Agreements and Convenience Termination\nPayments, in amount not to exceed $25,000,000, for the\nconcession units in Terminal 5 for Areas USA LAX LLC,\nON/Dakota JME, and Hudson Group to enable the Terminal 5\nRenovation and Reconstruction Project at Los Angeles\nInternational Airport.\n3. AUTHORIZE the LAWA Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to\nexecute the Release of Claims and Agreement, for each of the\nConcession Agreements, as outlined in the BOAC report\nattached to Council File No. 24-0412-S2.\nFiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor\nthe Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this\nreport.
