12.\nPreventing Deaths Related to Kratom and 7-Hydroxymitragynine (7-OH)\nin Los Angeles County\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Hahn: Instruct the Director of\nPublic Health, in collaboration with the Chief Medical Examiner, and in\nconsultation with County Counsel, to report back to the Board in writing in 30\ndays with recommendations on how the County should address and prevent\ndeaths and harm related to kratom and 7-OH including, but not limited to,\ncreating an ordinance, identifying funding and staffing needs, including\nleveraging existing funding, identifying the risk of other harmful substitutions of\n7-OH and outreaching to the public to help inform the recommendations to be\nmade.
