34.\nResearch and Consultation Services Sole Source Contract Amendment\nRecommendation: Approve and authorize the Chief Probation Officer to execute\nan amendment to a sole source contract with William James College (WJC), to\nextend the current contract period for a one-year term, with two one-year and\nsix month-to-month extension options, for an estimated amount of $95,200 for\nthe purposes of research and consultation services on the County of Los\nAngeles’ Juvenile Competency to Stand Trial Program for the Probation\nDepartment. The contract extension is fully funded under Net County Cost.\nAuthorize the Chief Probation Officer to prepare and execute subsequent\namendments to the contract to exercise the extension options. Authorize the\nChief Probation Officer to execute an amendment to the contract to modify the\ncontract rates. Authorize the Chief Probation Officer to approve non-material,\ntechnical, and administrative changes to the contract, necessary changes to the\nscope of service, and if necessary, termination of, in whole or in part, the\ncontract with WJC.
