LETTER FROM THE VETERANS HUNTERS PROJECT ORGANIZATION\nREQUESTING A FACILITY FEE WAIVER FOR THE USE OF THE\nSOUTH EL MONTE SENIOR CENTER TO HOST A MILITARY\nDEPLOYMENT CEREMONY AND A MONETARY DONATION\nThe Veterans Hunters Project organization is requesting a facility fee\nwaiver for the use of the Senior Center Dining Room to host a military\ndeployment ceremony on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to\n12:30 p.m. In addition, the organization is requesting a monetary donation\nof $300.00 to provide refreshments for the event.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council discuss and\nconsider:\n1. The facility fee waiver request submitted by the Veterans Hunters\nProject organization for the use of the Senior Center Dining Room in the\namount of $300.00;\n2. The fee waiver request for the non-waived fees associated with the\nreservation in the amount of $899.00; and\n3. A monetary donation of $300.00 to provide refreshments for the event.
