(3)\n26-0013\nPERSONNEL AND HIRING COMMITTEE REPORT and ORDINANCE\nFIRST CONSIDERATION relative to amending Schedule A of Section\n4.61 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code (LAAC) to include and\nprovide salaries for the new, non-represented classifications of Chief\nOccupational Psychologist (Class Code 2387) and Port Pilot\nApprentice (Class Code 5114).\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL\nOF THE MAYOR:\n1. PRESENT and ADOPT the accompanying ORDINANCE dated\nNovember 24, 2025, approved as to form and legality by the\nCity Attorney, amending Schedule A of Section 4.61 of the\nLAAC to include and provide salaries for the new, non-\nrepresented classifications of Chief Occupational Psychologist\n(Class Code 2387) and Port Pilot Apprentice (Class Code\n5114).\n2. AUTHORIZE the City Administrative Officer (CAO), upon\naccretion of the classes to a bargaining unit, to amend the\nappropriate Memorandum of Understanding to reflect the\nsalaries approved by Ordinance.\n3. AUTHORIZE the Controller and the CAO to correct any clerical\nor technical errors in the above Ordinance.\nFiscal Impact Statement:\nThe CAO reports that the cost associated with filling Chief\nOccupational Psychologist and Port Pilot Apprentice positions will be\nabsorbed within budgeted funds by the employing departments for\nFiscal Year 2025-26.
