6.A. CO-SPONSORSHIP OF CALIFORNIA NATIONAL\nORGANIZATION FOR WOMEN STATE\nCONFERENCE [Y. QUARKER, A. LOVANO, L.\nFOOKS]:\nThe West Hollywood City Council will consider a\nrequest to co-sponsor the California National\nOrganization for Women State Conference.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve the Co-\nsponsorship of the California National Organization\nfor Women State Conference on Saturday, May 20,\n2023 in the Aquatic and Recreation Center (ARC) in\nWest Hollywood Park; 2) Authorize the City Manager\nor his designee to execute documents incident to the\nCo-Sponsorship agreement between the City and\nCalifornia NOW (the California Chapter of the\nNational Organization for Women.); 3) Authorize the\nuse of the City name and logo on collateral materials;\n4) Direct the Communications Department to utilize\nall appropriate communication tools to promote the\nevent, including, but not limited to, the City's website\nand social media channels; 5) Authorize the Director\nof Finance and Technology Services to allocate\n$1,000 from unallocated General Fund reserves to\nthe Special Council Programs Account 100-1-01-00-\n531001 and increase the budget for Special Council\nPrograms by the same amount; 6) Authorize the\nDirector of Finance and Technology Services to\nallocate $1,000 from Fiscal Year 2022-23 funds in the\nSpecial Council Programs Account 100-1-01-00-\n531001 for costs associated with financial support;\nand 7) Approve the waiver of the facility use fee for\nthe West Hollywood Park Aquatic and Recreation\nCenter. (Estimated $2,094 in waived fees) Approve\nthe waiver of parking fees at the 5-story parking lot\nfor event attendees.
