5.A. COMMISSION AND ADVISORY BOARD\nAPPOINTMENTS AND RE-APPOINTMENTS [J.\nJIMENEZ, M. CROWDER, L. MORALES]:\nThe City Council will consider making direct\nappointments to City Commissions and Advisory\nBoards as well as at-large appointments to some of\nthe Commissions.\nThe City Council will consider adopting a resolution\nupdating and clarifying the expense reimbursement\npolicy applicable to elected and appointed officials of\nthe City (most recently updated by the City Council\nas Resolution 15-4766) in compliance with\nGovernment Code Sections 53232. 2 and 53232. 3,\nto reflect subsequent changes in the City’s fiscal\npolicies.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Make new appointments\nor re-appointments to City Commissions and\nAdvisory Boards; with terms ending February 28,\n2025, as follows: Mayor Pro Tempore Erickson to\nmake direct appointments to the following: a. Social\nJustice Advisory Board and Transgender Advisory\nBoard; Councilmember Byers to make direct\nappointments to the following: a. Arts & Cultural\nAffairs Commission, Historic Preservation\nCommission, Rent Stabilization Commission, and\nTransportation & Mobility Commission, b. Russian-\nSpeaking Advisory Board, Senior Advisory Board,\nSocial Justice Advisory Board, Transgender Advisory\nBoard, and Women's Advisory Board;\nCouncilmember Heilman to make direct\nappointments to the following: a. Arts & Cultural\nAffairs Commission, Historic Preservation\nCommission, LGBTQ+ Commission, Planning\nCommission, and Transportation & Mobility\nCommission, b. Disabilities Advisory Board and\nSocial Justice Advisory Board; 2) Call for\nnominations for the at-large appointments for the\nfollowing Commissions: a. Business License\nCommission: 2 at-large appointments, b. Human\nServices Commission: 2 at-large appointments, c.\nPublic Facilities, Recreation, & Infrastructure\nCommission: 2 at-large appointments, and d.
