APPEAL OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION’S\nAPPROVAL TO DEMOLISH ALL EXISTING\nSTRUCTURES ON THE PROPERTY WHICH\nENCOMPASSES A RELIGIOUS FACILITY,\nBANQUET FACILITIES, AND A SCHOOL\nBUILDING AND CONSTRUCT A NEW FIVE-\nSTORY, 90-UNIT APARTMENT BUILDING (WITH\n14 AFFORDABLE UNITS) OVER A\nSUBTERRANEAN PARKING GARAGE AT N. 1305-\n1317 CRESCENT HEIGHTS BOULEVARD, WEST\nHOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA [J. KEHO, J. ALKIRE,\nA. GALLO]: SUBJECT: The City Council will\nconsider an appeal filed by Lynn Russell\nregarding the Planning Commission’s adoption\nof Resolution No. PC 22-1496, which found the\nproject to be exempt from CEQA under Section\n15332 (In-fill Development Projects), and\napproved the demolition of a religious facility,\nbanquet halls, and a school, to construct a new\nfive-story, 90-unit rental apartment building over\nsubterranean parking. The project utilizes a state\ndensity bonus, concessions, and provides\nfourteen units of affordable housing.\nRECOMMENDATION: Continue the Public\nHearing to May 1, 2023, at the request of the\nAppellant, Lynn Russell.
