8H.\nCommunity Development – Accept and Appropriate HOME-American Rescue Plan Act (HOME-ARP) Grant\nAward from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), Adopt\nRESOLUTION Authorizing Grant Acceptance, and Authorize the Mayor and City Manager to Sign\nDocuments. Expenditure: None.\nRecommendation of the Community Development Director that City Council:\n1. Accept and appropriate California Department of Housing and Community Development\n(HCD) HOME American Rescue Plan Act (HOME-ARP) grant award, in the amount of\n$1,720,938, to a newly created grant project; and\n2. Adopt a RESOLUTION authorizing the acceptance of the HCD HOME-ARP grant and the\nexecution of a standard agreement and related documents; and\n3. Authorize the Mayor to execute any non-substantial modification to the HCD HOME-ARP\nStandard Agreement subject to approval by the City Attorney; and\n4. Authorize the City Manager as the City's signatory for all other grant-related documents\nand to act on the City's behalf with respect to the grant and all decisions in connection with\nthe grant.
