9.\nDeclaration of Fiscal Emergency; Calling a Special Municipal Election;\nConsolidation with Los Angeles County; Introduction of an Ordinance Increasing\nthe Existing Transactions and Use (Sales) Tax by ¼-Cent, for a Total of a One-\nCent Transactions and Use (Sales) Tax\nThe City Council will consider:\n1. Adopting a Resolution declaring a Fiscal Emergency pursuant to Article XIII\nC, Section 2(b) of the California Constitution;\n2. Adopting a Resolution calling and giving notice of a Special Municipal\nElection to be consolidated with the June 2, 2026 Statewide Primary Election\nconducted by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk for the\npurpose of submitting to the voters a proposed 1/4-cent (0.25%) Transactions\nand Use (Sales) Tax measure; and\n3.
