Item 52:\nFirst Amendment to Extend Contract with Lexipol LLC.\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nThe cost of this contract will be $33,500 per year beginning in Fiscal Year 2026, funded\nby the Fire-Rescue Department’s General Fund budget.\nAuthorization of this first amendment to the agreement will increase the cost by $167,500,\nfor a total contract amount of $335,000.\nCouncil District(s) Affected:  Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\nAdopt the following Ordinance which was introduced on 2/2/2026, Item 600, (Council\nvoted 8-0, Council President LaCava-not present):\n(O-2026-74)\nOrdinance authorizing the Mayor, or his designee, to execute the First Amendment to the\nContract with Lexipol LLC, extending the Contract through June 30, 2031, for a\ncustomized health and safety mobile application.\n6 votes required pursuant to Charter Section 99.\nCommittee Actions Taken:\nThis item was heard at the Public Safety Committee meeting on December 12, 2025.\nACTION:  Motion by Committee Member Whitburn, second by Committee Member\nCampbell, to recommend Council approval of staff’s proposed actions.\nVOTE: 4-0; von Wilpert-yea, Campillo-yea, Campbell-yea, Whitburn-yea.\nFire-Rescue: Robert Bunsold, (619) 533-4300\nCity Attorney Contact: Daniel Orloff
