8.\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends the City Council:\nA. Discuss a potential local sales and use tax measure; and\nB. If the direction is for the City to pursue a local sales and use tax measure,\nauthorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Fairbank, Maslin,\nMaullin, Metz & Associates (FM3) in an amount not-to-exceed $37,750 to\nconduct research and polling consulting services; and\nC. Direct the staff to collect the necessary documents to propose a local sales\nand use tax measure for the November 2026 ballot, which will be considered by the\nCity Council at a future meeting.\nAPPROVAL OF THE 2026-28 CITY COUNCIL PRIORITIES AND OBJECTIVES (FUNDING\nSOURCES: VARIOUS)
