8.\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends the City Council:\nA. Discuss a potential local sales and use tax measure; and\nB. If the direction is for the City to pursue a local sales and use tax measure,\nauthorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Fairbank, Maslin,\nMaullin, Metz & Associates (FM3) in an amount not-to-exceed $37,750 to\nconduct research and polling consulting services; and\nC.
