E.2.\nRECONCEPTUALIZATION AND RESTORATION OF A MUSIC EVENT\nON THE SUNSET STRIP [Y. QUARKER, C. SMITH, M. REATH]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will receive a proposal from JJ-LA related to\nthe reconceptualization and restoration of a music event on the Sunset\nStrip to take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Receive a proposal from JJ-LA related to the\nreconceptualization and restoration of a music event on the Sunset Strip\nand provide staff with direction regarding the proposal; 2) Approve an\nEvent Production Services Agreement with JJ-LA, in an amount not to\nexceed $2,800,000, to produce a music event on the Sunset Strip to take\nplace on Saturday, October 17, 2026; 3) Authorize the City Manager or\nher designee to negotiate and execute documents incident to the\nAgreement; and 4) Authorize the Director of Finance and Technology\nServices to allocate an amount not-to-exceed $3,690,000 from General\nFund’s Unallocated Reserves to 100-3-50-52-531019 to cover the $2.8M\nfor the JJLA agreement plus $890,000 for public safety and traffic control\nexpenses.
