29.\nCONSIDER ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF\n$33,072 TO SUPPORT THE CITY’S SUMMER YOUTH BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL PROGRAMS; ADOPTING\nRESOLUTION NO. 26-031 TO AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 OPERATING BUDGET IN BOTH THE\nGENERAL FUND AND SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS; AND APPROVING THE ASSOCIATED GRANT AGREEMENT\n(CITY COUNCIL)\nRECOMMENDED ACTION\n— 1. ACCEPT the 2026 Dodgers Dreamteam grant from the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, which\nprovides $33,072 in funding, along with additional goods and services (such as uniforms, equipment,\nand program support), to help operate the City of Carson’s Summer Youth Baseball and Softball\nLeagues;\n— 2. WAIVE further reading and ADOPT Resolution No. 26-031, titled “A RESOLUTION OF THE CARSON\nCITY COUNCIL AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 OPERATING BUDGET IN THE GENERAL FUND\nAND SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS TO FORMALLY ACCEPT A 2026 DODGERS DREAMTEAM GRANT,” which\nformally updates the City’s budget to include and properly allocate the grant funds;\n— 3. APPROVE the Grant Agreement (Exhibit No. 3), which outlines the terms, conditions, and\nresponsibilities associated with receiving and using the grant funds; and,\n— 4. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to sign and execute the Grant Agreement on behalf of the City, after it has\nbeen reviewed and approved as to form by the City Attorney.
