5.B.\nRESOLUTION ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND AWARD A CONTRACT TO SELECT ELECTRIC,\nINC. FOR THE CITYWIDE TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADES & SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS PROJECT (HSIPSL-\n5310(044))\nPresented by Nader Alqam, Principal Engineer\n— Recommended Action: 1) Adopt a resolution approving the plans and specifications for the Citywide\nTraffic Signal Upgrades & Safety Enhancements Project (HSIPSL-5310 (044)); 2) Award a contract to Select\nElectric, Inc. in the amount of $939,500; 3) Authorize contingency funds in the amount of $100,000 in the\nsame purchase order; 4) Authorize construction engineering funds in the amount of $50,000; 5)\nAuthorize a purchase order for the Solis Group in the amount of $6,725 for administration of the\nCommunity Workforce Agreement (CWA); 6) Authorize contingency funds in the amount of $1,345 for\nCWA administration; 7) Authorize the City Manager and City Attorney to make any necessary, non-\nmonetary changes to the contract; and, 8) Authorize the City Manager and City Clerk to execute the\ncontract.
