(2)\n13-1724-S1\nCD 4, CD 13\nHEARING OF PROTESTS AND ORDINANCE FIRST\nCONSIDERATION relative to levying the Los Feliz Village Business\nImprovement District (District) special assessment for the District’s\n25th Fiscal Year (operating year) beginning on January 1, 2026\nthrough December 31, 2026.\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL\nOF THE MAYOR:\n1. HEAR PROTESTS against the proposed levying of the special\nassessment for the District’s 2026 Fiscal Year, pursuant to\nSection 36524 of the California Streets and Highways Code.\n2. PRESENT and ADOPT accompanying ORDINANCE dated April\n6, 2026, levying the special assessment for the District’s 2026\nFiscal Year, if a majority protest, as defined by Section 36525 of\nthe California Streets and Highways Code is found not to exist.\n3. APPROVE the Los Feliz Village Business Improvement District\nAdvisory Board for the District’s 2026 Fiscal Year.\n4. AUTHORIZE the City Clerk, subject to City Attorney approval, to\nprepare, execute and administer a contract between the City\nand the Los Feliz Village Business Improvement District\nCorporation, the nonprofit service provider for administration of\nthe District.\nFiscal Impact Statement: The City Clerk reports that there are no\nassessments to be paid for City-owned properties located within the\nboundaries of the District. Therefore, there is no impact on the\nGeneral Fund.
