2.\nINTRODUCTION OF AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING COUNCILMEMBER\nCOMPENSATION PER GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 36516 - City\nGovernment Code Section 36516(a) allows regular adjustments to the City Council\ncompensation. City Council to consider Councilmember compensation increase to be\neffective 2027. The last increase of Councilmember compensation was effective in 2025.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Review and discuss City Council compensation and determine increase to be\neffective after the November 2026 election.\n2. Introduce and pass to a second reading an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF\nTHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA,\nAMENDING SECTION 2.04.048 OF THE SANTA CLARITA MUNICIPAL CODE\nCONCERNING CITY COUNCIL SALARY."
