18.\nCONSIDER APPROVAL OF SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT AND RESOLUTION NO. 26-043 ALLOWING THE CITY\nOF CARSON TO PARTICIPATE IN ADDITIONAL NATIONAL OPIOID SETTLEMENT WITH REMNANT\nDEFENDANTS, ASSOCIATED PHARMACIES, INC. (AND AMERICAN ASSOCIATED PHARMACIES), J M SMITH\nCORPORATION, LOUISIANA WHOLESALE DRUG COMPANY, INC., MORRIS AND DICKSON CO., NORTH\nCAROLINA MUTUAL WHOLESALE DRUG COMPANY, INC., AND UNITED NATURAL FOODS, INC.\n(INCLUDING ITS SUBSIDIARIES SUPERVALU AND ADVANTAGE LOGISTICS) (CITY COUNCIL)\nRECOMMENDED ACTION\n— 1. APPROVE Settlement Agreement and Combined Subdivision Participation and Release Form for the\nCity’s participation in the National Opioid Settlement Agreement with the Remnant Defendants.\n— 2. ADOPT Resolution No. 26-043 approving and authorizing the City Manager to carry out all\nnecessary acts such that the City can participate in the National Opioid Settlement with the Remnant\nDefendants, including signing necessary documents and transmittal thereof as necessary.
