G\nConsideration and possible action to waive further reading and adopt\nOrdinance No. 1455 – An Ordinance amending Chapter 8.16 (Regulating\nFireworks) of the Bellflower Municipal Code to extend the time for selling\nsafe and sane fireworks within the City and to allow certain fireworks stands\nto be located along secondary arterial streets.\nQEQA: The Ordinance is exempt from additional review under the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §§ 21000, et sea., “CEQA”)\nand regulations promulgated thereunder (14 California Code of Regulations\n§§ 15000, et sea., the “CEQA Guidelines”) because under CEQA Guidelines\n§§ 15061 (b) (3) and 15378(b)(5), the Ordinance establishes internal\ngovernmental procedures that have no potential to cause a significant effect on the\nenvironment.\nRecommendation to City Council: 1) Waive further reading and adopt Ordinance\nNo. 1455; or 2) Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
