AWARD CONTRACT: 2026 USDA SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM – F2M26-24,\nN2M26-17, C2M26-23, M2M26-63\nOn February 9, 2026, the City Council approved the distribution of a Notice Inviting Bids\nfor the 2026 Summer Food Service Program. Staff included the following food vendors in\nthe bidding process: Food Service Outreach, Inc., San Gabriel Unified School District,\nPreferred Meals, School Nutrition Plus, Inc., Unity Meals, and Everytable. On Thursday,\nApril 16, 2026, the City Clerk received two bids in the amounts of $97,020.00 and\n$99,691.00. The bid received by School Nutrition Plus, Inc. is the lowest responsive bid.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to the final language\napproved by the City Manager and City Attorney, to School Nutrition Plus in the amount\nof $97,020.00 for the 2026 Summer Food Service Program; and, direct staff to take the\nsteps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
