2. COMMENDATIONS: ALHAMBRA HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC DECATHLON TEAM –\nF2M25-3\nMayor Maloney and the Alhambra City Council wish to congratulate and commend the\nAlhambra High School 2026 Academic Decathlon Team. For the third year in a row, the\nTeam took first place out of 61 teams in the 44th Annual Los Angeles County Academic\nDecathlon, after an outstanding performance in 10 subject areas including art, economics,\nliterature, mathematics, science, music, social science, essay, speech and interview. The\nTeam scored a total of 49,044 points and took home a total of 52 Medals. The Team then\nwent on to place 6th in the California State Finals earning an additional 17 individual\nmedals. The AHS Academic Decathletes are to be commended for their perseverance\nand dedication to scholastic excellence and the City of Alhambra celebrates their\nremarkable accomplishments. Mayor Maloney will present commendations to the AHS\n2026 Academic Decathlon Team members and coach.
