(57)\n26-0513\nPUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT relative to a proposed\nagreement between the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and\nKaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., for ambulance transport services.\nRecommendation for Council action:\nAUTHORIZE the Fire Chief, or designee, to execute the proposed\nfour-year agreement (Agreement) between the LAFD and Kaiser\nFoundation Health Plan, Inc., a California non-profit corporation, for\nambulance transport services beginning on January 1,2025 through\nDecember 31, 2028, subject to the approval by the City Attorney as to\nform.\nFiscal Impact Statement: The CAO reports that there is no impact to\nthe General Fund. The LAFD will receive a flat rate for services\nprovided. The revenue for transport services rendered during FY\n2025-26 is estimated at $1.10 million. All funds received will be\ndeposited into the LAFD’s Targeted-Destination Ambulance Services\nRevenue Trust Fund 44R for the enhancement of the Department’s\nemergency medical services.\nFinancial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the\nrecommendation stated in this report complies with the City’s\nFinancial Policies in that, where appropriate, the City will assess a fee\nfor service when provided for the benefit of a specific service\nrecipient.
