A. COMPLIANCE REPORT PURSUANT TO ASSEMBLY BILL 2561\nAssembly Bill 2561 (AB 2561) requires public agencies to hold at least one\npublic hearing annually to report agencywide vacancies, recruitment, and\nretention outcomes for the previous year, and discuss any challenges\nexperienced in hiring and retention during the previous year and efforts to\naddress those challenges. AB 2561 further requires the hearing and\npresentation to be made prior to the adoption of the fiscal year budget.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council receive and file this report in\ncompliance with Assembly Bill 2561.
