12.\nAPPROVE AN APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE STORY PARK IMPROVEMENT\nPROJECT – F2M22-37, C2M25-74, M2M26-76\nOn December 8, 2025, the City Council awarded a contract to Ankor Associates, Inc. in\nan amount not to exceed $776,930 for the Story Park Improvement Project. At the time,\nthe City anticipated receiving $161,793 in Measure A entitlement funds; however,\nappropriation of those funds was deferred pending final allocation approval from Los\nAngeles County. On February 10, 2026, Los Angeles County approved the Measure A\nallocation in the amount of $138,100. In addition, staff intends to utilize CalRecycle\nBeverage Container Recycling Grant funds to support the installation of a bottle-filling\nwater station at Story Park. Staff is requesting the City Council direct the Finance Director\nto appropriate the necessary Measure A and CalRecycle & Beverage Grant funds to fully\nsupport project completion.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council appropriate funds to the Story Park\nImprovement Project in an amount not to exceed $147,490 from Cal Recycle & Beverage\nGrant and Measure A fund; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize\nthe Council’s action.
