11.\nAWARD CONTRACT: SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT ON GLENAVEN\nAVENUE, ORANGE GROVE AVENUE, MIDWICK DRIVE, LA GOLONDRINA AVENUE,\nAND ROSS AVENUE – F2M24-64, N2M26-29, C2M26-29, M2M26-75\nOn March 9, 2026, the City Council approved the distribution of Notice Inviting Bids for the\nProject. On April 23, 2026, seven bids were received and opened by the City Clerk ranging\nfrom $2,624,055.52 to $4,718,298.00. GRBCON, Inc. submitted the lowest qualified bid\nat $2,624,055.52. Staff reviewed the bid submitted by GRBCON, Inc. and found it to be in\nfull compliance and conformance with the project specifications.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council approve a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the City of Alhambra and\nGRBCON, Inc. for the Sewer Replacement Project on Glenaven Avenue, Orange Grove\nAvenue, Midwick Drive, La Golondrina Avenue, and Ross Avenue in an amount not to\nexceed $2,624,055.52; direct the Finance Director to appropriate funds in the amount of\n$1,524,055.22 from the Sewer Fund Balance; and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize the Council’s action.
