3.\nSANTA CLARITA VALLEY FOURTH OF JULY PARADE - This item considers\nthe transfer of responsibility for administering the Santa Clarita Valley Fourth of July\nParade to the City of Santa Clarita. This item also authorizes the City Manager or\ndesignee to execute an agreement with SCVTV whereby SCVTV retains responsibility to\ndetermine the line-up order, designate the grant and division marshals, develop the script\nfor the television broadcast, and administer the judging process.\n1. Approve the transfer of ownership and responsibility for administering the Santa\nClarita Valley Fourth of July Parade from SCVTV to the City of Santa Clarita,\neffective with the 2026 Parade and continuing thereafter.\n2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to enter into an agreement with SCVTV\nwhereby SCVTV retains responsibility to determine the line-up order, designate the\ngrand and division marshals, develop the script for the television broadcast, and\nadminister the judging process, at no cost to the City.\nCONSENT CALENDAR\nAll matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered routine and will be enacted by one\nmotion by the City Council. The items are not individually discussed by the City Council unless\na request is made by a member of the public or the Council, in which case, the item(s) will be\nremoved from the Consent Calendar and will be considered separately.
