Adoption of Resolutions Calling, Ordering, and Giving Notice of the General\nMunicipal Election and Requesting Consolidation with the County of Orange\nStatewide Election\nRecommendation\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 2026-1527, Calling, Ordering and Giving Notice of the\nGeneral Municipal Election to be held on November 3, 2026, for the Election\nof one (1) Member of the City Council from District 2, and one (1) Member of\nthe City Council from District 4, each for a full term of four (4) years; and\n2. Adopt Resolution No. 2026-1528, Requesting that the Board of Supervisors\nof the County of Orange Consolidate the City of Laguna Niguel’s General\nMunicipal Election with the Statewide General Election to be held on\nNovember 3, 2026, pursuant to Elections Code Section 10403.
